coralbells Interesting Notes

From Charles Oliver of the Primrose Path and introduced by Plants Nouveau.

In Summer 2015 we had a few hundred guests ask us if it was ok to touch the foliage because they could not believe that it was not actually wet or oily! The metallic color is really something to behold in the garden. At a minimum, it's a great garden party conversation plant, but at its best it makes gorgeous mounds of what appears to be a supple metal sculpture in the shade garden. Oh, and BONUS, it flowers like mad! White flowers over super, super dark chocolatey stems that match the underside of the wet-pewter foliage.
