Position Summary

As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting finished product to designated customers according to a trucking schedule prepared by the Shipping Supervisor and/or Shipping Manager.  The driver will perform various operational functions to ensure the effective function of the Shipping Department by ensuring that prescribed schedules, policies, and procedures are followed.  Interested candidates:  email application or resume and cover letter to Human Resources Manager at employment@northcreeknurseries.com or call 610-255-0100.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Inspect vehicle weekly and complete Weekly Vehicle Checklist, notifying Oxford Farm Manager and Maintenance of any maintenance issues that need reporting
Complete a thorough vehicle inspection prior to each customer delivery trip
Responsible for ensuring vehicle has documentation prior to customer delivery trip
Ensure compliance with ELD Mandate
Transfer plants between production facility and shipping department
Abide by all laws pertaining to use of a wireless device while operating a motor vehicle

Experience

Prior delivery driving experience required

Knowledge / Skills Required

Must have valid driver's license, and be approved by our insurance carrier
Experience in general automotive maintenance helpful
Ability to drive a box truck
Ability to pass a Department of Transportation medical certification physical
Ability to follow map directions
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Able to work in all weather conditions at tasks that are sometimes physically demanding
Effective listening and communication skills
