Position Summary

The Greenhouse Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance team in the day-to-day general maintenance of facilities and grounds on each farm.  The Greenhouse Maintenance Technician will perform various operational functions to ensure the effective function of the various departments by ensuring that prescribed schedules, policies and procedures are followed. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Troubleshoot greenhouse computer-controlled operating systems, including irrigation, boiler, heaters
Be on-call if necessary for any after-hours emergencies
Hang poly on greenhouses
Assist snow and ice removal
Maintain all aspects of the physical plant and grounds
Maintain proper inventory levels of materials and supplies used day to day, including purchasing when needed
Handle work orders in a timely and efficient manner
Perform additional duties as required


Greenhouse maintenance experience desired, but not required

Knowledge / Skills Required

General repair maintenance
Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of tools (e.g., chain saw, trimmers, forklift, back hoe) or desire to learn
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Is a highly motivated, service-oriented individual with demonstrated ability to manage multiple operational matters efficiently and with accuracy
Must have effective listening and communication skills
Is able to work in all weather conditions at tasks that are sometimes physically demanding

Travel: Travel between Landenberg and Oxford farms is required as part of the position.
