Garden Phlox Interesting Notes

Hands-down best "good old fashioned white" garden phlox available in the market.  The Peacock™ Series is bred for its tidy, compact size, disease resistance and heat tolerance. 'Peacock White' has all of those qualities, but also has a rich, sweet, bewitching fragrance that is not the least bit cloying. Actually, we've noticed a slightly peppery end note.

As usual with Phlox paniculata, extended blooming is promoted by cutting only the top 1/3 of the plant when dead-heading or taking flowers for arrangments. Cutting back causes new but smaller blossoms to shoot out from side buds.

Upon the industry news of the beloved Phlox David's contraction of Blackberry Chlorotic Ringspot Virus, our team immediately selected 'Peacock White' as the substitute. It is brighter, whiter, more fragrant and disease resistant with a high percentage of re-blooming when cut back properly.

Phlox paniculata 'Peacock White' Growing and Maintenance Tips
