Oriental fountain grass is a small bunch grass with an unusually beautiful inflorescence that is unusually long lasting. The cottony pink inflorescence literally glows when lit from behind by early morning or late afternoon sun. This fountain grass in not invasive and self-seeds only sparingly in the garden. Growing and Maintenance Tips

P. oriental tolerates a wide range of soils as long as good drainage and full sun are provided. Winter hardiness may be reduces when grass is grown in part sun. Tolerates wind and salt spray. Best results when propagated by seed. When transplanting, do not bury the root crown below the soil surface. Most effective when mass planted, around ponds, streambanks, walkways. Excellent container plant.
