Growing and Maintenance Tips

S. byzantina prefers dry to moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Drought, heat and humidity resistant. Avoid overhead watering to prevent disease. Spreads rapidly. Propagate by seed or division. Cut back dead foliage in the fall for new growth in the spring. Best used as a border, groundcover or in rock gardens.
