Interesting Notes

Aster x frikartii was raised in Switzerland around 1920 and is the product of seeking the large flowers of of A. amellus and the long flowering season of A. thomsonii. The result is one of the most popular groups of asters today.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Grow in full sun in average to dry soil. Will grow and bloom in part shade, but may need support to prevent flopping. Benefits from a couple of trimmings during the season to make a bushier, more stable plant.
