Ruby Ribbons™ switch grass

The breeding program of Dr. Mark Brand of the University of Connecticut brings us a hybrid of P. 'Heavy Metal' and P. 'Hans Herme'. The foliage of 'Ruby Ribbons' emerges a blue-grey in spring, continually working up to deeper hues of ruby-red from mid summer into autumn. Upright habit reaches 2-3 feet in full sun. Flower spikes appear late summer and persist into winter, great for holiday arrangements.
