Care & Maintenance

Widely adaptable and can be grown in shade or sun. In sun they will need plenty of moisture to look their best and they really prefer protection from intense mid-day rays.

Rich organic soil with good drainage is best, but again these selections are adaptable to many conditions and will tolerate heavier soil or root competition. Wet soils are not tolerated.

Interesting Notes

Bright lime/yellow-green foliage. Cream flowers to 20 in. (50 cm). Bred to combine strength and color by crossing more robust species such as villosa hybrids, Beat the Heat is the best of the best. These unique Heuchera varieties exhibit a broad range of foliage colors to enhance and bring contrast to the garden. They stand up to heat and humidity much better than their garden predecessors. - Darwin Perennials
