Position Summary
Quality Control performs a variety of duties under the direction of the Quality Control Manager. They will perform various operational functions to ensure the effective operation of the facility by ensuring that prescribed schedules, operating policies and procedures are followed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
 |
Sort and grade finished product to proper specifications |
|
Trim, clean, weed, and consolidate plants according to quality standards |
|
Sort, grade and discard propagation material and plant according to quality standards |
|
Move plant material to specified locations |
|
Maintain proper level of materials and supplies, including unloading items with equipment |
|
Assist growers as needed/assigned to maintain plant health and quality (trimming, consolidating, weeding, watering, moving plants) |
|
Assist in maintenance of plant health and quality through proper irrigation in all areas of the nursery |
|
Perform additional duties as required |
Knowledge / Skills Required

Plant knowledge helpful but not required |
|
Count accurately |
|
Ability to read labels and differentiate between plants |
|
Ability to learn Latin plant names |
|
Ability to learn to operate trimming machine, forklift, electric golf cart |
|
Ability to lift 50 lbs. |
