Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for the supervision of employees in all phases of production and will perform various operational and supervisory functions to ensure the effective function of the Production Department at North Creek by ensuring that prescribed schedules, policies and procedures are followed. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
 |
Manage team in all phases of propagation, production, holding stock |
|
Supervise production planning and oversee ordering of all types of crops |
|
Coordinate custom grow orders; strive to achieve 100% fulfillment and customer satisfaction |
|
Coordinate space management and schedule transfer of production material as needed |
|
Make and implement recommendations regarding improved operational systems and procedures with the General Manager's approval |
|
Ensure Production Department follows and sustains LEAN Flow process / Working Smarter program |
|
Ensure produced material meets or exceeds North Creek quality standards |
|
Allocate work and train Production Department employees |
|
Maintain proper inventory levels of materials and supplies used day to day |
|
Work with GM to develop and manage the department budget |
|
Perform annual job reviews/performance evaluations for employees |
|
Perform additional duties as required |
Experience
|
Horticulture, college degree or equivalent production or growing experience |
|
Managerial experience helpful |
Knowledge / Skills Required
|
Must have extensive knowledge of propagation, production, and growing techniques |
|
Must have good computer skills; well versed in Excel and Word and able to use the Internet and email; must be able to learn nursery software system—production module |
|
Must have good organization and time management skills |
