Position Summary

The IPM Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, operational and supervisory functions to insure the efficient and effective function of the Growing Department, as well as insuring that prescribed schedules, operating policies and procedures are followed. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Maintains plant quality by incorporating integrated pest management techniques including scouting for pests and diseases, employing good cultural practices and applying biological, bio-rational and chemical controls
Scouts both farms on a weekly basis and generates a scouting report
Orders beneficial insects and applies on a weekly basis
Maintains pesticide inventory; prepares annual chemical bids with Growing Operations Manager
Makes and implements recommendations regarding improved operational systems and procedures with Growing Operations General Managers' approval
Performs additional duties as required

Knowledge / Skills Required

Must have good computer skills; be able to use MS Word and Excel
Must have knowledge of pest control methods, safety and application techniques
Should have basic plant and growing knowledge

Education

Horticultural knowledge and understanding the use of perennials, grasses, ferns and vines
Is able to obtain a PA Pesticide applicators license

Travel: Travel to our Oxford farm is required as part of the position
