Position Summary
The Ecological Sales Representative is an inside sales support role responsible for a variety of administrative and operational functions. This inside sales role will directly support the Ecological Sales Manager, as well as Sales and Marketing Departments, by ensuring that prescribed schedules, policies and procedures are followed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Provides timely follow up to RFQs for landscape projects (prepares price quotes, suggests appropriate substitutions, works with RLAs to get substitutions approved) | |
Quote follow up (regularly checks in on project status, including installation schedule details; works closely with designers to increase sales) | |
Order entry and delivery coordination of plants to job site | |
Answers customer inquiries about species selection, Landscape Plug™ product, installation procedures/specifications, plug establishment, and long-term management | |
Lead ecological focused customer tours through North Creek trial and demonstration gardens as needed | |
Represent company at trade shows and symposia as needed | |
Present lectures/workshops at events as needed | |
Works closely with marketing department to create landscape marketing pieces for website and online resource catalog, Landscape Plug™ Spec Tool, email broadcasts as needed | |
Works closely with R&D, shipping, and other departments at North Creek to provide best customer service and sales services | |
Performs additional duties as required |
Knowledge / Skills Required
Horticultural knowledge and understanding the use of perennials, grasses, ferns and vines | |
Understanding of the landscape market and project bidding process | |
Must have effective listening, communication, presentation and computer skills |
