Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist & Inside Sales Support position is responsible for executing the tactical aspects of the marketing plan and supporting sales and marketing team initiatives. They will perform various operational and supervisory functions to ensure the effective operation of the sales and marketing department at North Creek Nurseries by ensuring that prescribed schedules, policies and procedures are followed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Manage and execute email marketing initiatives with input from sales & production team
Assist with developing and implementing web & print based marketing campaigns tailored to specific market segments
Perform marketing analysis such as email analytics, customer research and market competition analysis
Maintain accurate information on web site & perform regular updates
Work with marketing manager & sales manager to develop key relationships with horticultural & ecological target accounts
Facilitate sales and marketing action meetings and publish meeting minutes
Manage and maintain company library & electronic photography archives
Actively set up, attend and participate in various tradeshows and symposia
Responsible for interfacing with customer service department and NC web based applications to address and/or rectify customer inquiries and concerns
Perform inside sales duties pertaining to customer service and support
Manage social media outlets
Perform additional duties as required

Experience

Solid marketing/sales background with portfolio and writing sample
Effective communication, listening, presentation and computer skills
Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers
Knowledge and familiarity with perennials and native plants a plus

Desired Skills

Well versed in Microsoft Office software
Computer literacy in design software packages a plus – preferably Adobe Creative Suite
Overtime as required – additional time as needed to accomplish goals and objectives
Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Marketing, Horticulture or related field of study

Travel: Some travel may be required. Must be able to attend and conduct presentations as needed.

Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience.
